While I was browsing through the threads here in the Fight On! forum, I stumbled on a thread about illustrations; someone (I've forgotten who, and am much too lazy to check my browser history to find out 
) suggested posting drawings in the forum, and then letting people get all inspired by them and start writing a pile of articles about them. This sounded like a rather neat idea, by doing things the other way round from the usual approach (people writing adventures and then the editors commission illustrations for them), and since no-one else seems to have picked up on the idea, I thought I'd give it a go.
So, here you are: A couple of fresh, not-yet published drawings that will hopefully leave you teeming with ideas for all kinds of monsters, spells, magic items etc. I expect to be able to upload new doodles on a non-regular basis, but everyone's welcome to add drawings of their own. I'm not sure how the logistics will work out, e.g. if two people decide to write about the same picture (pretty likely, since there's only two of them uploaded as yet), but I'm sure calithena or some other grown-up will be along shortly to set us all straight.

Suggestion: I think it would be cool if people also wrote about ideas and stray thoughts for how the drawings could be used, what adventures could be based on them etc., even if they're not planning (e.g. due to a lack of time) to write it up themselves. Or what about a caption contest? Everyone comes up with a caption for the drawings, and the best ones get printed in the magazine. That way, even if no-one decides to do a write-up on the drawings, they can still be used as comic relief (in fact, they can be used as comics even if they get used in an article - that'll just lighten the tone a little). Time to dust off the cheesy puns and witty catchphrases!
