I thought that with the recent outpouring of sympathy and concern with David Arneson, and a nod to Jeff Rient's suggestion on the anniversary of Gary's passing, that we should take a moment to thank some of the designers, writers and artists who were involved in the original editions of D&D. I've written a blog post about 9 people I'd like to say thank you, but I wanted to also leave the list here and encourage you all to maybe drop a few words of thanks either there or here. I'm just feeling like we're losing precious time with some of the imaginative minds that created our little niche. If there's someone I've missed, please let me know. 1. Robert Kuntz 2. Tim Kask 3. Rick Krebs 4. Dr. J Eric Holmes 5. Frank Mentzer 6. Jim Ward 7. Mike Carr 8. Erol Otus 9. David Trampier

MAR Barker is still on this side of the clay, at least last I heard. Thank you, Professor - meeting you at WorldCon in 1984 was the high point of the convention for me.
If you are willing to include folks from other companies, Marc Miller, Loren Wiseman, and Frank Chadwick are still with us, as is Steve Jackson (many a high school lunch period was pleasantly squandered on Melee and Wizard. Last year I finally met him at a convention and got him to sign my copy of Melee - turns out it is a first edition.)
