This weekend, Fight On! is going all out to sell as many copies of the magazine as we can. Until the end of the day on March 31, all our prices have been reduced by fifty cents or one dollar:
Issue #1…..Normally 7.50…now 7.00
Issue #2…..Normally 9.00…now 8.00
Issue #3….Normally 10.50…now 10.00
Issue #4…Normally 10.00…now 9.00!
There has never been a better time to check out the pioneering old-school fantasy fanzine than right now! These prices will revert to their old levels on April 1, so buy now or pay more later!

But that’s not all. For a limited time only, we are offering FOUR UNIQUE PRODUCTS that will in all likelihood NEVER BE OFFERED AGAIN. If any of these strike your fancy, grab ‘em now, because as of April 1 they are GONE!
First and likely foremost is the hardbound Fight On! Compendium, featuring the entirety of issues 1-4 bound into a single hardcover volume! This product is identical to the four published issues in every way except (unfortunately) slightly smaller margins and greyscaled interior cover images. Own the whole magazine in one big book! Note that if you’re a new buyer, it’s actually still cheaper with shipping to buy all four separate regular issues and ship them together than to buy this 400 page hardbound behemoth.

If any retailers are interested in purchasing 2 or more copies of the compendium for sale, please contact me at calithena at gmail dot com; I will lower the sales price by $10 when you order and you can charge whatever you think the market will bear. Again, there are no plans to ever offer this compendium again after April 1!
Second, Fight On! and Knockspell are collaborating to bring you a book of art, The Art of the Old School Renaissance. This volume can be purchased from either of our lulu stores and contains exceptional works produced by many of the delightful artists you find featured in the pages of our respective magazines. 32 pages of glorious game art, and you can buy it here:

Finally, I have released a couple of quirky products of my own under the Fight On! banner to help boost this sales blitz. One, Calithena’s Campaign Compendium, is basically a bunch of campaign notes and rules ideas from different games I’ve run. I can’t promise brilliance, but at 54 pages of campaign ideas, magic systems, background systems, short adventures, cosmology and religion, calendars and coins, etc., it’s hard to go too far wrong. This work would definitely be considered an idea mine for creative GMs rather than a finished product for consumption though.

The second is a short story called Dhar the Dreamer. A stylishly written dark fantasy tale (claims its author), I have never published it until now because although I wrote it I disagree with its probable moral viewpoint. Likely it will never see the light of day again, so if you’re curious about the dismal depths of my psyche, you can pick it up now:

Again, NONE OF THESE FOUR PRODUCTS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE AFTER THE END OF MARCH.
Why are we doing this?
lulublog.com/2009/03/16/author-sales-contest-update-top-10/
With just under 3 days to go, we are currently in third place in the lulu Author Sales Contest, which measures print sales through the lulu website only. A win means interviews and publicity for Fight On!, old school fantasy, and gaming more generally! We think this hobby is great and we want to support it any way we can. Right now we are only behind the National Hot Rod Association’s publication arm and One Glance Ministries for the lead in this contest. Who’s going to win this thing, I ask you? Is it going to be the NASCAR dads, the preacher from Washington – or THE PREMIER FANZINE OF CLASSIC FANTASY ROLEPLAYING?
Not since Hawk the Slayer has a chance for victory in the culture wars been so close to within our grasp! The time is now – buy print products through the Fight On! webstore by March 31 to do your part!

Thank you, and Fight On!
