Hey all. I was perusing the Fight On! lulu storefront and it occurred to me that all the issues are sadly lacking in reviews: There's only one review apiece for issues 1, 3 & 4. Now, I could post reviews, but it feels weird since I've contributed to each issue, though of course what I've done has only been a tiny fraction of each issue's content. Maybe it's my own hang-up. Anyhow, this is an open call to anyone who's read and enjoyed any of the issues to take 10 minutes and write a review on lulu. It doesn't have to be comprehensive, just a paragraph or two about what you liked. I have to imagine there are more and more people following links to the Fight On! site, and then maybe hemming and hawing about shelling out their recession-shrunken cash for oldskool goodness; let's help them make up their minds!

I don't own any issue of Fight On! but if the publishers would be willing forward PDFs of any one or all four issues I'd be delighted to post a comprehensive and impartial review.

I'd really like a review at rpg.net more than anywhere else, I think.
Dubeers, drop me an email. Do you have any record as a reviewer, and if so maybe you could send me some links?

I've done film reviews for various local papers for years, though I don't know of any linked on-line. I could send you the text of a few if you so desire. I did do a review on Dragonsfoot some time back, though it was under a different username ("Erystelle", I've since abandoned that account in favor of one with the same username I use here). Here is a link to my review of "Realms of Arkonus: Advent of Darkness". www.dragonsfoot.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=30251

I don't have your e-mail and it is hidden on your profile, so I sent you an IM.

Someone should probably review the magazine (either a single issue or the entire run) for RPGNet; that's a wide audience and all reviews are read by a multitude of people.

Hmn, I 'm really behind in my reviews, but I might take a whack at an rpg.net review (I hope Jerry Grayson won't shoot me )

That would be great, Dr. Samsara. If you need any questions answered to help out the review, go ahead and email me.
I just know that I tend to pay more attention to the rpg.net reviews than those at other sites, for whatever reason. I think enworld reviews get some attention too though, if anyone's active over there.

Calithena, did you get my PM through this board? Just curious. If you're not interested, that's okay.

I just want to point out that of course anyone can write a review, and the more of you who choose to do it, the better. We really appreciate the time people put into this.

Just found a review of Fight On! #1 by Natalie Bennett aka Oddysey. Unlike other reviews that offer a comment on every section, this review gives us a general impression of what Fight On! is all about.

Unlike other reviews that offer a comment on every section, this review gives us a general impression of what Fight On! is all about. I called it a review, but I really think of it as more of a "thank you." Would posting proper reviews for each issue on the blog be a useful thing to do? It'd at least give the magazine a little more visibility on the RPG Bloggers Network. And of course, I'll do a couple short reviews for Lulu as I finish reading the magazines. They are more than worth that much.

I would think that any review would be a good thing. The more we get the word out, the better.
That being said, however, I tend to refrain from doing reviews myself. Being a contributor, I'm naturally biased.

Thanks for the review, Natalie!
Anything people want to do is great. I think if you're trying to call attention to the magazine, rpg.net is probably the site where reviews get the most attention. On the other hand a lot of your blogs get a lot of readers as well. 'Tis all good.
