I am trying. If everything goes well maybe next week I'll be able to order the proof copy. Sorry for the delay, and I am very much looking forward to posting such a thread!

Kensanata, you should be smote with Greater Cabers of Smiting+5 for getting my hopes up :-)
The funny thing is I'm STILL not through with issue #3. having been reading all of the Outdoor adventures with map in hand, like they are novels. Is the next issue is as good as this one, I may have to give up gaming, just to have time to read about gaming......

I just finished "Inferno" despite having my copy of #3 for a few weeks. I figure if I plan this just right, I'll have it done just as #4 comes out.

Also reading Issue #3 (well, not continuously). Yeah, and I am making good progress on my contributions for the 5th issue - just finished one of them on a train ride from Vienna!

And my submission for #5 is in. Actually, it's two - a larger module and a shorter extra for context.

Awesome, Melan! #4 should be on lulu today, and then it's time to start on #5. Already have an awesome cover from Mr. Mayle and a bunch of good subs in the queue, actually...except we need more humor as usual.

Are you still taking submissions for #5 and, if so, do you have a deadline in mind for them?

Yes, subs are still welcome for #5. I think the deadline is about a month from now. I will post a thread asking for subs actually in a little bit, but you don't have to wait for it.
We are pretty good on adventures for #5 though if you have something interesting that's bread and butter so there might be one more slot. Stuff we're especially looking for right now: a city article, spells, monsters, anything cool or weird, humor (where are all you comics guys? at this point it's practically instant publication for anything remotely funny...), world/how to DM stuff, really good short-short fiction (shorter than the story in #3, that got thrown in because we liked it and the issue was out of control anyway). Reviews! We need a couple reviews for #5.
But basically write what you like and that's probably what will make it the most fun for others.

You have a topic in mind for your short-short fiction? And how many words?

Granted, it was originally planned for #4, but then I hit a horrible period of creative burnout and decided to wait it out rather than submit the adventure in a form I wouldn't like afterwards. So we could say it is actually late -- but still, better late than never. For #4, I submitted a short wilderness lair type thing I already had on my HD, and a list of 50 offbeat adventure ideas.

I am thinking maybe some sort of pulpy swords-and-sorcery story about 800 words long, give or take whatever your space requirements are

Makofan, that sounds like exactly the right precis. We'll look out for what you come up with.
