Hi Labsenpai,
At the time of solicitation the chances were still (I thought) 100%. My apologies. We are again somewhat late and the issue is again somewhat big. I take full responsibility and genuinely regret that I wasn't able to follow through on all our committments.
I did manage to get two columns for your awesome mounted elf and it's placed early in the issue, at least. :-)
Kelvin, if you want to draw a Tekumel pic or something for James adventure, it's not to late for #4!
We're going to start on #5 immediately upon conclusion of #4 because the month we normally take off in between has been used up at this point.

What pixel size do you need for finished pieces?

Also these two for the Darkness Beneath, from James Maliszewski: As far as art goes, I'd love to have a piece that shows a science fantasy-style "robot," which is to say, something that doesn't look wholly mechanical or indeed plausible but conveys the general sense of an artificial being made to act as a guard/servant. I could also use an image of a mind flayer-looking being -- octopus head, etc. Something vaguely reminiscent of this: 4.bp.blogspot.com/_DSs2bX13hVc/SNB8slmjo9I/AAAAAAAAASk/mUprk3XD61s/s1600-h/illithidalien.jpg right down to the jumpsuit he's wearing. Any love?

With Dominance War starting on the 20th I can't commit to something heavy, but I did start
- animate metal monsters that look like giant springing bear traps with small, powerful legs
(Never knew how traps worked...pretty interesting stuff)
I'll take a couple of evenings on it...What file format do you prefer?

Hi Katana!
If you already did those, go ahead and send them ASAP. jpg, tiff, and png are all fine.
If you didn't, don't start now, as I'm already past there in layout. If you have time to do one of James' or a Tekumel pic that would be grand. Even something simple at this point...
Anyone? :-)

No problem, all i did was the concept, I hadn't started painting yet,but they were cute little guys..lol. As for what to do, I['m not up on The World of Petal Throne. I'll take James M.'s 'mysterious crystal hemisphere' for level 4 of the Darkness Beneath, if I can get some details about the scene, since I don['t see the contact link...Thanks.

Welcome, Ed!
Can we use those? Good stuff. Actually, that skull-priest could almost be a Tekumel pic already. But if you wanted to grab any of the others that would be great.
Katana, if you think the metaljaws are too rough it's cool. I could take a final version by Thursday night on that one if you wanted to finish it. Prefer to have the robot by Friday or Sat if it's a choice though.
Both of you, drop me a line calithena at gmail dot com and let me know how you want to be credited in the magazine.
For a second robot pic a big gamma-world style round floating battle droid/warbot thing would be pretty cool too. But James' stuff is more important.

I'm getting started on a Tekumel pic of the Priest of Black Qarqa. If that's being done by someone else, or being fulfilled by a different illo (unclear at the moment), I'll jump to Juggash, as it were...

Hi Calithena,
Sorry. Was suddenly buried with work and family stuff this week. But yes, you are welcome to use any of those pieces I posted earlier if you find them handy.
Arthnek / Ed
PS: Sent you a PM.
