It's weird to edit my own work. I wrote a rules variant article for wilderness combat. Ig says, cut it to one page. So, I'm cutting it....it sure is easier to do this with other people's writing in some ways though. :-)

The main thing is you have to keep the writing and editing separate - if you start doing them at the same time it's a recipe for writer's block!

The main thing is you have to keep the writing and editing separate - if you start doing them at the same time it's a recipe for writer's block! Absolutely! Just get those words down. Over-write, under-write, whatever it takes to get that first draft down no matter how ugly it is. Then do your own first edit. But after that you have to have someone else read and edit! It's impossible to edit your own work after your first edit.
