I pre-ordered this a few days ago. Also, the recent "Daddy Rolled a 1" video had a pre-publication review copy and showed a few pages of the contents. Looks amazing. A number of xeroxed copies of pages that come from early Blackmoor. I guess someone basically turned their collection over to the Secrets of Blackmoor folks, who created this book. I can't wait to get my copy.

The content is exceptional. I don't have the actual book yet so I'm not sure what filler Griff wrote, but the material is among the most important found. You don't want to miss it.

My hope is that combining this material with First Fantasy Campaign will finally give us a good look at what Arneson's campaigns were really like. When it rains, it pours. This is freakin' amazing! Agreed. A lot of really good material from 50 years ago all coming out this summer!

I just wish they weren't so anti-PDF. More people would get to see the material then!

Can anyone confirm what this book actually contains? I think I read 2 blog posts and half a video without finding out much if anything.
Specifically, does it contain anything pre- D&D publication, or at least pre-Blackmoor -Supplement or is it all later stuff as implied by the up to 1985 title?

Not sure if you have seen this blog post that I made based on info from DaddyRolledA1, but it does show some excerpt and examples. There is definitely pre 1976 material in the book. I recognize several items as early 1970s. Some of it has beeen shared in the past, but it looks like there might be completely new things as well. Also, some of the material that Ken Fletcher retouched in the early 1980s was probably based on much older content. Hope this helps! -Havard

The book looks too good to pass up, so I pre-ordered.

Will this be available through other stores, or just theirs on their website? 30$ shipping plus VAT would make this rather expensive...

More than half of the material is pre-D&D. This includes very early maps, one of which appears to be the original pre-Blackmoor map on which all others are based. There are several long "Reports". One of which is the first ever adventures in Blackmore and two detailed dungeon dives from 1972. Later material includes Blackmoor maps and information from the early 1980's, Adventure Games era.

I preordered it weeks ago and cannot wait to have it delivered. I understand they were still adjusting some of the content a week or two ago, but pre-publication copies sound very encouraging.

Book arrived (a little damaged but not too bad) and I have started to read through it. Exceptional content, IMO, and a lot of stuff I hadn't seen before.

There's currently a 30% off click-to-clip coupon for this book on Amazon. Not sure if it's region-specific or Prime-exclusive or anything like that, but combined with its current list price of $32.75 that puts it at about 23 bucks to pick up right now.

I've ordered the book via Amazon. There is no discount for Prime users, at least in Poland. I paid ca 35 USD (includes shipping cost).
