Issue 16 will be devoted to Tramp. Maybe we'll even have another art contest...

If anyone has artists or others they would like to suggest as potential judges for an art contest honoring David Trampier, please email them to me or Ig or post them here.

I’m not sure how much Trampier gamed (Sutherland definitely did).
He did art and game design for Titan, but that’s the only game design work of his that I know of, offhand).
Allan.

I know! I actually corresponded with Dave Sutherland a little bit, before he died, as I suppose you probably did too. He was on the old Tekumel Yahoo Group, back in the hoary days around Y2K.
I was hoping to think of a couple current fantasy artists who were influenced by Tramp, had a recognizably old-school-ish style, and might be interested in helping judge an art contest in his honor. There are certainly some great artists who have done some work for Fight On! who I may look up for this as well. (Too bad Mark Allen's retired!)
Speaking of Titan, I used to play on colossus.sourceforge.net . The site is still up, does anyone still play on there?

Off-hand, there's a fellow named Brett Barkley that just did some GM screen art for Mythmere's latest Swords & Wizardry Kickstarter. Looking at it, it's clearly an homage to Tramp's.

I wonder if Tony DiTerlizzi would be willing to judge such a contest. Anyone know him?

I’m not sure how much Trampier gamed (Sutherland definitely did). Tim Kask has talked about wargaming with Tramp with tank miniatures. Edit: Also, Tramp played in some epic proto-Titan miniatures battle games he created with Jason McAllister (and probably Jason's brothers).

I didn’t correspond with DCSIII, but heard about his solo Tekumel game with Rob from Rob. It would be very useful to compile that info all in one place sometime. (Too bad Mark Allen's retired!) I had not heard Mark retired! Speaking of Titan, I used to play on colossus.sourceforge.net . The site is still up, does anyone still play on there? I have not, but some Titan players I met at GarCon this year mentioned a couple sites to play online. I’ll look for my notes. Allan.
