The first two issues of Fight On! have provided me with hours of great reading and ideas. I especially want to recognize James M. for "The Outdoor Map". My crew began a wilderness campaign using the map and background article, Swords and Wizardry Whitebox, and "Wilderness Encounters" from Oe D&D. One night of play, five hexes traversed. Oh, and one dead wyvern!
David Bowman's article on "The Entourage Approach" defines much of what makes Oe different from later incarnations of the game. My players are now running Loyal Followers, and hired seven more fighters and a cleric to assist them. His approach to "building and equipping henchmen" led me to roll up and post a download of "140 Henchmen for Hire" at Swords and Wizardry.
I can hardly wait for the PDF of #3, and the impact it will have on our games!

Thanks Garish! James M. didn't have anything in #3, though we're devoutly hoping for his city article for #4, but David had a fantastic dungeon that we think you'll enjoy, as well as a nice short monster article. The PDF of #3 should be out around Christmas. Happy gaming!

I think the Bowman article has been somewhat overlooked; he quite brilliantly systematized something that most people (I think) just wing. And #3 will blow yer mind...

Thanks guys! I haven't been able to devour #3 myself yet, as my parents wanted to borrow my copy so they could read it (that's a first). It will be interesting to see what they have to say about it when they visit and hopefully return my copy next week.
