One thing at a time!

Right now I am looking for - a character class. I really like the Scout class by Jason Brentlinger for Basic Fantasy. It's better maybe to have something new, but if anyone knows him, or has a similar class they've developed on their own. that would be one possible choice. I already have a 'wild' class for this issue, so it doesn't have to be the Scout, but I would like something that would be playable at any more flexible table. I'll need an illustration or two for that class as well.

An interesting and playable character race would also be welcome.

I need one that's for a sort of humorous dungeon article involving a specific sort of hireling, I don't want to spoil the joke so I'll probably solicit this directly from someone.

Here's the critical stuff I need to get squared away soon - the J. Eric Holmes material.

I have an article already laid out with Holmes rules variants as piecemeal add-ons to the game.

I have stats and cool art for Boinger and Zereth in the Knights and Knaves section.

I know there was more. I am not holding people accountable for things they offered ten years ago. I am also not holding myself accountable for things I offered ten years ago! This 'zine has always been about creative imagination in fantasy adventure games, so we're starting over with that. But I will be going through the old submissions and contacting people to see if we can use them.

I submitted a few things. I have some classes, races, and monsters written up if you need them. Also tons and tons of dungeon maps I've drawn.

I submitted the article with stats for Boinger and Zereth (and Murray). I can take a look and see if I should add anything from the relatively-newly-published story "Witch Doctor."

For those following along at home - I wrote the article before Chris Holmes shared his original character sheets for B & Z & M. The versions of the characters that I wrote up closely match the characters as seen in the stories, which are slightly different from how they were in the game.

OK great! I have some great art of Boinger and Zereth from Cameron Hawkey and perhaps Holmes himself, trying to get clear on whether I'm allowed to use the latter or not, but either way there will be some good art to accompany the characters!

I'm still working on stuff. Posting updates to keep morale up, I know I've been out a long time. Lots of great articles coming in - I'll try to get the overview in place for myself so I can put out more systematic art requests soon.

Thanks! I've not been struck by any class or race inspiration yet, but I did just write up a monster and sent it in just in case.

Professor Calithena, I know my homework is late, but my dog ate the syllabus. Here it is...

For example, as GM, there wasn’t a castle at some location, then, instantly with a few words I establish one.
How about otherworldly Castle Tara just north of Scorn Peak?
It’s the same with the orcs I now mention.
Were these foul humanoids with upturned pig faces later determined to be impudent slavers, armed with oiled javelins and notched short swords, cloaked in burnt umber cloaks over blood-stained scale mail, and hoarse chanting: “Blocks, shackles, & chains, boys! Blocks, shackles, & chains!”?
That may be. But, to start these fiends were just one word, orcs.
