I'm looking for the best mounted combat rules set, what is your favorite? .

I don't use any mounted combat rules, that are published, in my OD&D games, rather I've been using the following houserule for awhile:
* Troops on horseback get a +1 to their attack versus foot-troops, unless the foot-troop is larger than medium/normal size. * Troops on foot get a -1 to their attack versus mounted troops, unless the foot troop is larger than medium/normal size. * On a charge by mounted, someone with a spear or longer polearm gets a free attack first. * On a charge by mounted, the attacker doubles their damage rolled (d6) if they successfully attack.
I have some edge cases and rulings I've made for the horse trampling (effectively a knock down with damage) and if the foot troop wants to attack the mount itself.
