I can't find the original post. It was from one of my facebook groups and I've forgotten which one. Someone said they had actually visited that very street without making the Emirikol connection.

Oh yeah! I remember seeing this before, very cool. The big question is where Trampier found a photo of that street. I'm guessing it was in an illustrated history book on the military orders and/or the Crusades, but I suppose it could have been a travel book too.

I'm guessing it was in an illustrated history book on the military orders and/or the Crusades, but I suppose it could have been a travel book too. I've been trying to find Tramp's original source photo for that image, too. I always check for books about Rhodes in used book stores, but no luck so far.

Also look out for books on the Hospitallers, though there probably aren't nearly as many.
