You are at the grocery store checking out and see a "GMs Miscellany" coloring book on the shelves next to rest of the BS rags.
I wish I would have taken a pic. But it had some sort of generic ogl 5e compatible logo and was filled with monsters,items, maps, random tables, and of course was on that coloring book paper we all know.
I was too old for coloring books (or so I thought, as I loved coloring with my kids) by the time of the big boom of the fad years of the 80s, but still never recall anything sitting next to Women's day, or vogue, or whatever at the grocery store.

I saw a couple of 5E compatible hardbacks in the local Michael’s in amongst the other knitting and other craft books last week. Very weird. Heh

My aunt - who drinks a LOT of wine - tells me how funny Community and Big Bang Theory is, and how adorable "that game they play with the funny looking dice" is.

There's not enough wine in the world to make me want to watch Big Bang Theory.
The D&D-flavoured Community episode was mildly funny, FWIR.
Supposedly this dialogue is from E.T. The Extraterrestrial, but I don't remember this exchange personally from having seen it in the theatre in its original screening BitD.

It's pretty buried in the movie. The camera is is capturing the whole living area of the house and the main action is really the mom trying to get dinner organized, while the kids are playing their game almost in the background as part of the chaotic ambiance of the scene. None of their lines are focused on, so if you're not super focused on their dialogue then it whizzes right by unnoticed.

Just saw a commercial on TV for a loan or insurance or something. The whole thing was about getting something settled so you could find the time to play D&D with your friends.
