Well, I did it. I am now the owner of a set of metal dice. I thought it would never happen, then at GaryCon I found something called "Legacy of Adventure" dice by Forged Gaming. forgedgaming.com/products/legacy-of-adventure-dice-set?variant=46171375960295They are a set of metal dice in the original D&D colors -- yellow d4, orange d6, green d8, blue d12, and white d20. They have also added in a purple d10 and red d00 (tens) die to make the set more "modern." Now I may have to go back to Chessex and buy a few more plastic d10's in the appropriate colors to match this set. I had bought some d10's but I chose white to "go with" my d20's.

Very nice! I never thought I'd see a set of metal dice that appeal to me, but I would have bought these, too. Will check my FLGS today...

Agreed. Metal was on my not-under-consideration list until I ran into this set. Some of my players have metal or stone or glass dice. Or more than one type. For me it's always been cheap plastic versus "high impact" plastic.

The sound of them hitting the table must be satisfying.
