I really love Game Science dice. The sharp edged ones, with the numbers inked. I have some but is developing a chip/crack on the face of the 7 side unfortunately 😢 It's small and so far the rest of them look OK, but it got me thinking and looking at the GS website. It's hard to get black inked new ones, or any new ones, judging by their out of stock website.
I know Lou Z isn't getting any younger and I wonder what will happen when he passes - if GS will carry on.
More towards an immediate question... any recommendations on similar sharp edged, inked dice? I like plastic dice, as opposed to the metallic.

I ordered a mystery bag from gamescience last year and I do not recommend unless you want like 30 shirtty d12s and 40 shirtty percentile d10s

Even with the GBP/USD being favorable to the dollar these days... those shipping rates. I misread their rate page - the Royal Airmail rate is actually not bad, considering. Ordered the last 2 coal-black/white inked... they'll get set aside in case the ones I'm using show more distress.

I’m sad that the minor resurgence of GameScience dice has tapered off so significantly. Very difficult to find a full set anywhere. I never was able to get myself any.
Having said that, some of the retro style 3D printed dice I’ve seen on sites such as Etsy have me intrigued.

Am I too too oddly obsessed (being born in 1974) of having a ‘perfect 70s style’ bunch of dice that I demand it/them being in a super seventies color like a dark orange, slightly-less-than-sunflower-yellow, pr brown? Cuz that’s what I want. Heheheh 😁

I pretty much only use precision-edge dice. Those were the first type of dice I ever owned and used. I have always very much preferred their look and feel. I also have a particular liking for my 20-sideds to be 0-9 twice (without the pluses) and colored to indicate ones and tens. My own original set, which have held up surprisingly well, were Windmill hobby dice. Those are the best dice I ever owned. They came pre-inked, but the hobby shop I acquired them at may've done the inking. The inking was also surprisingly long-lasting. Over the years I added Gamescience dice and a ton of "Diamond Dice" sold in bulk for awhile on ebay. The Diamond Dice looked comparable to my old Windmill and Gamescience dice, but their edges wore much, much faster. Still, I bought hundreds of those dice and use them, usually in a felt-bottom rolling tray and they don't wear as fast. I briefly talked to the guy selling the Diamond Dice about making a really big bulk order or acquiring the machines, but that didn't go anywhere. I believe he did eventually sell them and I don't see those dice on ebay anymore. I did make a couple of orders with the "new" gamescience like 10 years ago and that went pretty well.
Thanks for the diceshopper link. I hadn't seen those before and they look decent.

Kind of a bummer that they're going down...I was going to buy a glow-in-the-dark 20+ dice with my store credit (to match the rest of my set), but I couldn't figure it out. Guess it's too late now.

I thought I read somewhere that Uncle Lou stepped away from or sold Gamescience?

The last GenCon I went to was 2020 and Lou was there selling dice. I bought a full set of glow in the dark that had multiple 20s and 6s and at least one of every other they made. I also have the same set in purple and various random of other colors. I actually don't use them much anymore because a friend of mine made custom dice for everyone in our group that are GS style but about triple standard size. The d20s are about the size of a golf ball. Mine are opaque and the color scheme of the original basic set chalk dice.
