So, I’ve recently discovered this YouTube channel and have been enjoying it quite a bit.
But I seem to recall a “warlock” blog during the early days of the OSR (and I see the one now associated with this YT channel, though it looks different).
I was wondering if it’s the same one I was thinking of and recall reading a lot back in ‘08 to ‘11 or so.
Also curious if anyone knows if the gentleman who runs this YT channel (Jim) is someone who is among us here or at Dragonsfoot, etc.?
Either way. A channel worth checking out. Also cool is his (I guess) twenty-something-year-old son joins him on the channel and discussions and it’s nice to hear a younger persons perspective who also appreciates the old school way and aesthetic, etc.
Good stuff.

I've come across the channel before. Watched his review of Arduin. I haven't watched anything by them lately, but I also liked the comradery between he and his son. I have my doubts that either is a member of the forums. I got the feeling that they played 5e for the most part. |

It seems that I've subscribed to this channel already, although I don't know for how long - probably less than a year. Can't say which video brought me there, and I don't see his videos show up in my feed.
It does strike me as a 5e channel, but I wouldn't have ever subscribed if he didn't have an old school sense about his games. I'd be interested to know if they're going to switch systems anytime soon.

I’ve not gotten the sense at all that they use nor love 5th. They both seem to enjoy using AD&D1E in a minimal way, actually.

I haven't listened to any videos recently, so I only got the impression they play 5e because of the 5e Monster Manual placed prominently in the channel's banner. |

It was 2020, when the world was crazy, so it seemed to fit (and hence the caption). |
