Hey guys, I have been organizing the early Blackmoor rules research from Dan Boggs blog Hidden in Shadows and various other sources to original information, including Jon Petersons Playing at the World blog, Secrets of Blackmoor, and statements that I can find by original players. I am still going through all my resources but for the major rules categories I tried to list all my collected links and images if I have them and have added some basic content structure. I am still working on converting my notes into the various pages. If anyone would like to contribute (no doubt I have missed lots of stuff!) I would love any involvement in making sure that this represents a factual and as up to date work as possible. If you would like to contribute you can add comments to this thread and I can add it to the wiki. Keep in mind the site is rather spartan, I started the wiki a few days ago and I still have a lot of pages to add. You can find the wiki that I started here. Things I am still trying to find/figure out: - How Morale Works
- How Magic Armor Works
- Mass Combat Rules
- Comments from Original Players
- Player/NPC Classes
- Races - I think I have the list just need to know if they provide any modifiers to skills or abilities.
- Plenty of other things...
Thanks, Sean

Sean, the most accessible guide to morale is in the Don't Give up the Ship rulebooks. Another published source would be Weseley's Valley Forge rules but that's harder to come by. These are Strategos variants of course.
Anyway, shouldn't this thread be in the Blackmoor section? We usually talk Arneson rules there.

I messaged Finarvyn to move the thread, hopefully he can do that. I think I stopped browsing the sub forumns when I saw Pre-Dungeons & Dragons, my bad . Thanks for the leads on those two games, I'm trying to get a copy of DGUtS this week. Do you think David Weseley would be open to questions on Valley Forge?

...I think I stopped browsing the sub forumns when I saw Pre-Dungeons & Dragons, my bad . Oh man, are you in for a rabbit hole. There are loads of threads here for you to dive into. There are a couple old Blackmoor combat threads, magic threads, HD threads, there are even posts by Dave Arneson himself relevant to your interest. He posted under two handles Blackmoor and darneson. ...Do you think David Weseley would be open to questions on Valley Forge? Yes, probably. Weseley loves to talk about his games.
