So I saw this interesting post on Facebook today, but I no longer can find it. Not sure which of my old school places it might be found and I can't find it by just skimming through my feed. I copied the post in Word because I wasn't sure I could find it again, and sure enough....

Does anyone remember the name of an old school magazine one shot adventure where the players are a bunch of orcs that get shrinked and have to explore the pipes of the drainage in a wizard's lab? The final encounter is a troll that somehow got dissolved and is regrowing in the drain. I wanted to run it but I forgot the name and the magazine, and I have no luck with Google. Thanks to anyone who remembers.

It was Dungeon magazine.
February or March 1990 if I remember right.
You can check the archives online.
Good luck, I remember running that one when it came out.

I'm guessing that the discussion continued since I read the post and I am now obsessed with finding this adventure. I looked over the right rocks and uncovered DUNGEON from Jan/Feb and from Mar/Apr and I'll be darned if I can find anything like this adventure in either issue.

Anyone know more about this? (Know for sure which issue, or see the post on FB?)

Dungeon #24 includes an index of adventures for the first 2 years, the only two adventures listed as being for humanoid monster PCs are "Rank Amateurs" from #22 and "Monsterquest" from #10 - neither of those seems to fit the description. I checked the incremental updates to the index in issues #36 and #48 just for good measure, and didn't see any more adventures listed for humanoids in either one. I would suggest trying Polyhedron and/or White Dwarf if you have any of those to check in, as it's easily possible someone misremembered which magazine it was from.

I have some leads now and am looking to find the thing.
