Just DM'd an 8 1/2 hour Memorial Day weekend AD&D 1e game. First 8+hr game in 20 years. We still got it!

The longest game I ever ran went on for 12 hours. There were very dear people involved there, some of whom are no longer with us, and I cherish that memory.
But my backside sure doesn't!

One of my fondest gaming memories is of us spending all New Years Eve and Day playing MERP. 12 hours seems about right, but we also played for a short chunk in the afternoon so maybe 15-16 total. We were all 7-12th grade, my older brother GMed, and it ended with most of us dying as we clandestinely tried to set the inn on fire. We were going to save the rich people and demand a saver's fee, you see.
