Can anyone recommend any "collection" volumes of old S&S comics from Marvel, DC, etc from BITD? Print copies, please.
Conan, Kull, F&GM, Jon Carter, lesser knowns..etc...are there any good collections of these out there?
Titles would be much appreciated so I can do an Amazon/Ebay/Whatever search. I'm getting a hankering to read these old rags from my youth again, but not into tracking down and buying issues one at time.
TIA!

I only bought Savage Sword; never Conan Saga. I'm sure I had a reason for it although I cannot remember what it was. Anyway, Savage Sword reprinted some great stories. Gardner Fox of Appendix N fame wrote for comics. In the fifties, he wrote a Conan knock off called Crom the Barbarian. I ran across Crom when I was reading about his Kothar books. Anyway, it looks like someone has scanned and collected Crom (public domain): www.kurtbrugel.com/crom-the-barbarian-first-sword-and-sorcery-hero#/original-story-1-crom-the-barbarian/

Hey jeffb, I'm no help. I read a lot of Sword and Sorcery comics from the 70's and 80's, but my taste then was pretty trashy. Additionally, I did a little google-fu and got no help as far as collected editions go. (It looks like there are some [few] collections for sale, but ick the prices ). Good luck!

I'm enjoying the Sláine comics at the moment. There's some rather over-the-top stuff, but in general I like it. I like the celtic mythology in it and how it was incorporated into the story, sometimes in a mythical/magical manner, sometimes as science-fantasy. The stories were colleced as TPBs over the last 15 years.

Thank you all for the suggestions! Much appreciated.
Savage Sword is on my list...I remembered there was a collected volume of them from some previous discussion here.
Years ago I had seen some collected volumes at the bookstore of my old favorite WWII comics and some other oddball stuff, so I figured Marvel et al would have done something similar with S&S titles....maybe not..... (?)

I’ve been gradually reading my way through the Prince Valiant reprints, and completely agree about the art. The collections are not cheap, though …

Gold Key had Dagar The Invincible. Marvel serialized a couple of Lin Carter's Thongar stories in Monsters on The Loose. Marvel also gave us a couple of John Jakes' Brak The Barbarian stories in Savage Tales.

Lots of great suggestions, but I would add Marvel Master of Kung Fu as well.
