A project has come to fruition. The beloved 1981 Basic and Expert set has been lovingly typed and melded together to create one rulebook. Monsters from B1 through B5 have been feathered in, and errata taken into account where aware of it. Five different hardcovers have been made for it for physical reproduction at lulu. A plethora of softback covers will be coming too. We are calling it the 1981 Omnibus Rules. We need feedback for errata.
I am not sure I can share a link here? So I won't.

If interested, drop me a PM. I will say a prerequisite would be to have bought the Moldavy/Cook pdfs from drivethrurpg. Let us know of any errata! One of 5 different covers:

Being a part of the prereqs for getting a product I assumed was new never crossed my mind. FWIW, it seems that this happened years ago, as explained in this thread (Combined B/X Book) on DF from 2013, that I just happened to run across this AM... www.dragonsfoot.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=62859...and... "A project has come to fruition. The beloved 1981 Basic and Expert set has been lovingly typed and melded together to create one rulebook. Just out of curiosity, did you take the pdfs and edit them, or did you do a complete build from the ground up? I have wanted to convert my Dark Sun pdfs to a different rpg system but leave all the lore parts in and also to edit the 1E remastered pdfs to add houserules but haven't figured out exactly the best way to do these things.

This is pretty spiffy. I like the idea. I've combined them at home but with no editing.

PM sent, I'm definitely interested. I was actually just embarking on creating my own combined copies and thought I had better come check this forum first. I own multiple physical copies as well as digital PDFs.

I am quite interested in seeing what happened to this project, and certainly would be interested in buying a hard copy.
