I just noticed a thing. My 1E DMG references the Rogues Gallery in two places, even though the latter hadn't been published yet. These are on p. 100 (under "Personae of Non-Player Characters") and p. 236 ("AD&D Game Family" product list). Specifically, I'm looking at:
- DMG: "Revised Edition -- December 1979" (Acaeum calls 6th print) - Rogues' Gallery: 1980 (Acaeum calls 4th print)
I'm wondering if those works were maybe produced in parallel. Anyone with an earlier printing of the DMG (pre-"Revised Edition"): are those references to the Rogues Gallery there, or not?

My 1st print DMG has the Rogues Gallery reference on p100 but is only 232 pages long, so there's no p236.

I also have a 1st print DMG (it has the "D" running off the top edge; www.acaeum.com/ddindexes/setpages/dmg.html) and can confirm the reference to the ROGUES GALLERY on page 100. I compared with a "Revised Edition - December, 1979" and the text in two paragraphs on page 100 appears unchanged from the 1st.
