Username is my initials and lastname. Generally use it on all forums, figured if I'm going to type it I might as well own it. Profile pic is from the Header of Flaying Buffalo's magazine Sorcerers Apprentice Issue 2. I've seen it a few other places as well so I suspect it was from and older source but here is the my Scan I took it from. -Mike

My profile pic is an old Ral-Partha miniature painted to be a Purple-Man from the weird fantasy/cosmic horror setting Carcosa (I also have another figure from the same line painted as a Yellow-Man to look like The King In Yellow).
Here is a better view of the figure unpainted
As for my username, it is a reference to the 1996 Necromunda game, from its Outlanders supplement/boxset. When I started using that handle sometime in the 2000s, I wanted something obscure (to avoid "User name already taken" during sign-ups) that I can also remember. In classic Necromunda game, "Malcadon" were a class of Spyer Hunter — bored noblemen/women who hunted gangs and outlaws in the Underhive of Hive Primus — who were like a bionic mix Spiderman and The Predator (Basically a dude in a web-shooting, wall-crawling power suit with twin-wrist-blades and stealth). Malcadon, Malcadon The not so friendly neighborhood Spyer, man Does whatever a Predictor-Spiderman-clone can Spins a web, collects your skull, Uses it as a salsa bowl Look Out! Here comes the Malcadon!
Mind you, Necromunda is apart of the greater Warhammer 40.00 universe, but I never gave a d**n about that, and would rather play the game as its own thing, with everything beyond the planet's surface beyond the scope of game, giving me the freedom to add my own elements.

For the record, derv has my favorite avatar on this board. I spent too much time tracking the source down so I could have a hi-rez version in my inking inspiration board: This is the artist: www.deviantart.com/jastorama/gallery

User name, was the name of the example MU adventurer from Holmes Basic.
Picture is a manticore, because much like a fez, manticores are cool. Plus I always liked that image for reasons unknown to me.

A nickname for my first name (Elijah) - on some forums I have an added dog as a suffix. Avatar is the RazorTongue - a giant koala monster from the king of bestiaries All the Worlds Monsters.

The concept of a unicorn comes from Zelazny's Amber series. I found a bunch of logos from "Legend of the Five Rings" and liked the purple unicorn head, then eventually found other versions that folks had made and the one I am using is one I stole from somewhere. My name is Marv or Marvin, and a guy I used to teach with used to call me Mar-fin and that somehow morphed into Finarvyn, which is the name I shall assume if I ever get teleported to Tolkien's Middle-earth. Unless I wind up as a dwarf there.

Pic is me, sitting outside of our local Barnes & Noble a handful of days before it closed. My username was a term I came across in a book about nuclear weapons. I thought it had a nice ring to it, so I began using it as the moniker for my industrial/EBM music project. Soon after which I started using it here and there online...and then another place and another.... Then it was too late. Everyone knew me by that name. I imagine no one at all knows who I am on the old school MeWe groups as there I use my real name. 😆 Edit: Eric Norred on MeWe, btw. Anyway... here’s what a Mach front, usually known as a Mach stem, is....kinda...well the Mach front is part of it, anyhow. Anyway! www.atomicarchive.com/science/effects/mach-stem.html#:~:text=The%20Mach%20Stem%20If%20the%20explosion%20occurs%20above,a%20second%20shock%20wave%20traveling%20behind%20the%20first. Edit. Also the sig is a lyric from a song by industrial group Haujobb.

My pic is one I found on the internet that I liked. It has a Conanesque vibe, it might even be Conan for that matter, and it makes me think of old school stuff. My username, which I just changed, is based on an anagram of my name plus the “Ara” prefix used by JRRT for his Dunedain. It was the name of my first Merp character back in 1986! My old username was Farmer and it was something I did for period of my time.

I created my avatar using the generator on these boards. My handle is a variation of tkdguy, which I still use elsewhere. However, I found out there's another tkdguy out there, so I changed my name a bit.

I'm a fan of early psychedelic, folk and progressive rock, especially the era where there wasn't really any differentiation between them. The name is taken from Tyrannosaurus Rex's album "A Beard of Stars," which is prime OD&D fantasy inspiration by the way, and the picture is the cover for the Tyrannosaurus Rex single "King of the Rumbling Spires," not part of the album but recorded at the same time.

That's me in the avatar. Fuzzy hair. "Revolver-era Beatles" art. Huge eyebags. And a cutie! The name "Clownboss" is my online name everywhere and it stems from a comic character I drew on MS Paint when I was 13. Clownboss was a leader of a clown gang who would work in a circus by day, but by night time would go out in the city for underground criminal activity... and also become bringers of justice in the neighbourhood and protect the weak and innocent. So basically the plot of "Joker", but better.
