How can you turn a game that is not zero-sum into a sport? How would you score it? I realize TSR held tournaments back in the day, but I reserve the right to think it was a stupid idea then, and still is. It misses the heart and soul of what the game is IMO.

Not convinced myself, but keep in mind how many people watch rpg sessions, live or otherwise, on YouTube. Critical Role is the most famous example, but it's not the only channel doing that. I can't rightly blame Hasbro for considering raising interest -- and income -- that way. Will it succeed. I really can't say.
