www.austinchronicle.com/news/2020-06-26/a-dangerous-man/Wardlow is scheduled to be executed next Wednesday (July 8, 2020) for a murder he committed when he was 18. He is about my age (early 40s) and has been on death row the majority of his life. I'm against the death penalty in general, but this case is especially troubling, and not just because the guy sounds like a good DM.

Locking this thread until further notice.
Like many others, I do sympathize with the person portrayed in the story. And, like many others surely do, I question a decision to execute a man for a crime he committed as a boy, and a lifetime ago. - HOWEVER, OD&D'74 is not the place to discuss these things: As per the board rules, we explicitly ask you to avoid political topics as much as possible. Since there is no way to possibly discuss this story without discussing the real-world circumstances, let's please - don't.
