If you had a 16x24 sheet of 1" squares graph paper to work with, could you fit all your single encounters on it? If not, how big a page would you actually need? What scale should the square be to fit every thing? I wonder because of these. steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1494425801That is the map size being used and before I make some for myself, is it the right "Standard Size"?

I’m sorry, could you rephrase the question? I’d like to help, but I’m not clear on what you are asking? I clicked on the link and it doesn’t make it any clearer for me.

I want to build a bunch of maps in 3D that are generic enough that most anyone can use them. To do that, I need to be sure that the map size is big enough for playing out at least the average encounter. I was able to assemble a base map size of 47" by 31" in one inch blocks. As the typical outdoor scale is 1 inch = 10 feet, that make 470 feet by 310 feet. With an inside scale of 1 inch = 5 feet, that makes 235 feet by 155 feet.
Would most average encounters fit within that size in your opinion?

That seems big enough for anything at lower levels. Not big enough if there are dozens of creatures on each side, or for big set pieces like the fire giant king's throne room or something like that. But generally big enough for everyday encounters.

Using the "One World" table I can fit 85 x 50 standard 1" squares. That should cover most things I would think. Plus I can swap maps with a click of a button. Now to try and assemble the Chaotic Caves to see how it looks.

Interesting. Virtual 3d modeling?

That's the idea. There are so many ways to do it depending on needs and ability to create. Sometimes it is tempting to not re-invent the wheel and just use/re-purpose what is already available.
I'm trying different combinations to see what I can make and if it is worth the effort. So far re-purposing and "enhancing" 2D maps looks acceptable.
