Play Fantasy Age for Free!

Was unsure where to put this as it doesn't really fit into non TSR classics or other editions or whatnot.

Green Ronin has decided to let us all have a copy of Fantasy Age for free due to the current pandemic and people having to hang around.

I have personally had great fun with this game- the stunting mechanic is much fun at the table. I used Fantasy Age to run a Middle Earth game set 20 years after the fall of the North Kingdoms to the Witch King in the Third Age (No Wizards- Just Rogues and Warriors i.e. Rangers of the North)

At any rate, enjoy. System is a bit lighter than 5E.

Interesting. I bought a boxed set of a game called Dragon Age years ago. It looked neat, but I never got to play it. I wonder if the two are related.

Dragon AGE uses the same system, the AGE system. It's one of the available settings. There's also Modern AGE and The Expanse, for example.

Hey Fin- yes it's the same "Engine"- Green Ronin's house system is called "Adventure Gaming Engine" aka AGE. First was Dragon Age, then Fantasy Age. I've not owned Dragon Age, but my understanding is Fantasy Age is a "cleaned up" version and written for general play vs. the specific world of the Dragon Age computer game.

the Basic f*gE book is really light on creatures, however there is a WIKI for f*gE and someone made a Mystara Monster Manual using D&D creatures. It's free as well. Link below and scroll down a bit for the PDF.
