...If you had been following the news - this seems to have been the so-called "Project Luminous", and the new default, post-Skywalker era.
Apparently, no word on any new movie project, so far.
Now, I don't want to frame a possible discussion with my own negative sentiments, but let's just say that this is not what I'd been hoping for. I'm happy for the kids that might still like this, but it's so far removed from what I liked about SW that I'm probably not going to pay this any more attention. If they ever decide to do a proper "Tales of the Jedi", KOTOR, or even "Dawn of the Jedi" reboot, then I'd be very interested, though.

I think this looks pretty badass. But then, I've never been a fan of the old Expanded Universe, which always felt (with a few exceptions--the Legacy comics were pure awesome) less like Star Wars and more like some high school kid's bad D&D game. I dig what the new LFL has done with the setting and story a lot. So yeah, I'm on board. And no, I'm not someone who only knows "new" Star Wars. My earliest memory is seeing A New Hope in the theater in 77 when it was still called just "Star Wars." SW has been with me my whole life and is a HUGE part of who I am today.

Hehe, looks like I overlooked your post, back in the day. We share that story, though - myself, I'm also a lifelong SW fan. But, as you surely know, I HATE the new movies. I think they share the rare treat of being both pretty bad in terms of coherence and storytelling, and bad in the way they often outright disrespected the material they were supposed to adapt/continue. Rarely have I been this categorical when it came to movies or books, but this one was an absolute miss, in my mind. - Now, given that the brand is trying to get to more stable grounds again with their recent projects (mainly, "The Mandalorian") - have you read any of the books in this new series, already? Are they any good, at all?

Well, as far as books, Timothy Zahn is back, and he's great. I understand his new books are pretty on-point, but they share the crippling defect of having to adhere to Disney's new "Canon", and I use that term loosely. I think I'll stick with my personal canon, which is basically the better parts of the old EU. Mandalorian and Rebels were amusing, and the Fallen Order video game, but not much else since the buyout for my tastes to be honest.
