Is there a Blackmoor map on JG paper that correctly lines up with "The Wild North" and "Valley of the Ancients"?

"The Wild North", as in Rob Conley's works? You might have some luck by asking the man himself: robertsconley, I summon thee!

I think that part of the problem is that the Blackmoor map from FFC and the Wilderlands map (including Valley of the Ancients) are done to different scales. If my memory is correct, the FFC one is 10-mile hexes while the Wilderlands ones are 5-mile hexes. I've seen a few attempts to bridge the two but none are on JG style paper.

Is there a Blackmoor map on JG paper that correctly lines up with "The Wild North" and "Valley of the Ancients"? No. The southwest corner of the original JG Blackmoor map has various known issues in lining up with the Valley of the Ancients. Even my own later Wild North Map 19 had issue lining up with Blackmoor as I opted to be more compatible with Map 4 Valon than the SW corner of Blackmoor. Having said that, the corner where all four maps come together can be altered to resolve these issues. Although it would be have to be an unofficial fix.

Hi Rob, thanks for the illustration of how the maps line up. I hadn't realized that Blackmoor was 10mi/hex. Blackmoor would take up four whole maps - WOW!
The only real issue I see is that many of the Blackmoor rivers are enormous in comparison to the rivers on the rest of the Wilderlands maps.
Blackmoor has a far colder climate than I had imagined!

Has there ever been a cooler overland D&D map than the 1977 Blackmoor map?
