New job. New schedule. Weekends off. Three players confirmed and possibly three more for an OD&D campaign every other Sunday starting in mid-January.
I've been trying to get this together for years. It's finally happening!

More details, please! I've started working at Sutherland in a desk job, and after four weeks of training I have received a permanent schedule of M-F days, with weekends off. I am making almost 50% more than I was at my last job, and it looks like a raise in January. Overall, I hope to be able to work this until I am able to retire at 72.

How about more details about your game?

How about more details about your game? I guess that makes more sense o.0 I am setting the game in my version of Tenh in Greyhawk, which I posted somewhere on this forum a while back. Allowed classes are Cleric, Fighting Man, and Magic-User. Races allowed are Human, Elf, and Dwarf from the LBBs, as well as my homebrew Cyclops, raccoon-folk, and coyote-folk (these last two aren't quite finished yet.) Once I have my players finalized, we'll roll some characters and I'll tailor a few introductory adventures based on the group dynamics.

I'm always keen on more cyclops players.

This sounds wonderful. It is good to have a setting that you have a handle on. It helps to inform you and inform your players to some extent.
Have you tried your unusual races out in games yet?

Have you tried your unusual races out in games yet? Not yet. This is my first RPGing since the game with my daughters a few years ago. However, none of them have any game-breaking abilities so it should run smoothly. Cyclopes may have some difficulty underground due to ceiling heights o.0

Cyclopes may have some difficulty underground due to ceiling heights o.0 Not if your dungeon builders were an ancient forgotten race of triplops giants! Ooh, maybe you can have several dungeon themes, with some sort of limitation on a different race for each, so that the players have to consider party disposition when choosing places to delve.

I try to tailor adventures to the group, so that everyone gets certain hindrances as well as a chance to shine. An adventure for five elf magic users is a lot different than one for three dwarf fighting men and a human cleric.
