Robert, your maps are fantastic. Not only do they look great, but they're also printer-friendly and "game-friendly" (i.e. usable/not just pretty to look at).

they're also printer-friendly And as someone whose purchases are mostly pdf's, this makes a wonderful and greatly appreciated change.

Thanks for the compliments.
Also for those who are wondering what the extra symbols are. Triangles are ruins and diamonds are lairs. They won't be present on the player map of course. Feedback on Points of Light was that judges wanted symbols to represent those as well.
The remainder of the symbols, fills, and fonts are as close as I can get it to the original style. Cal has different sizes to choose from ranging from 32 by 24 down to 11 by 8.5. The letter size is surprisingly legible. I tested by printing on photo paper at the best resolution of my printer.
I tried and tried to get the splotched coast effect of the original. But couldn't get it tweaked to work in all cases. I tried the fading coast effect and that seems to work way better and just as pleasing to the eye as the original style.

Hmm, shouldn't hex 3934 have a spit of land? And 2934 the end of a stream?
Or are these intentional differences to keep in character with the original maps?
I'm excited to see this new map. Does the right hand edge match up with the Blackmoor map? If there was only ONE additional map added to the original 18, this would be the map I would want to see so I'm glad you're doing it.

Hmm, shouldn't hex 3934 have a spit of land? And 2934 the end of a stream? I will double check this. Thanks for pointing it out. Not sure why I missed anything as I superimposed the old map (a scan of the original not the NG Version) on the bottom of my hex grid. But I drew most of it two years ago so I probably didn't finish proofing it. I'm excited to see this new map. Does the right hand edge match up with the Blackmoor map? If there was only ONE additional map added to the original 18, this would be the map I would want to see so I'm glad you're doing it. Better than how map 3 match the south edge. I did take a few liberties. What I did was bring in the scan of the first fantasy campaign map I had. Doubled the size (because it uses 10 mile hexes) used the overlapping terrain as a guide. I will section out the east edge so people can comment. As well as the south edge. Note that only the southwest quadrant of the First Fantasy Campaign map has any relevance here. The only name that I had to worry about was the Nomads of Ten. I changed it to the Steppes of the Ten (to avoid copyright issues). My goal is to make it easy to use with First Fantasy Campaign and ignored anything later.

Excellent. You truly are continuing the legacy of Judges Guild. I'm looking forward to Map 19 (also Points of Light once it's available as PDF - I took a look last week at my FLGS and with a 5 minute look it looks awesome - perhaps one of the maps will wind up being my campaign area for my upcoming mega-dungeon campaign).
