All,
Who is doing Kobold Quaterly? Is that part of this site at all?
All I know is I got spammed by the magazine. And just about anywhere where Fight On! has been mentioned KQ is mentioned in the comments.
I am only annoyed because I got spammed by them really, but was wondering if it is an adjunct product from this forum.
Best regards,
Rainsford

I don't know the details, but I think Kobold Quarterly is a magazine about d20 and 4E. Nothing to do with this site at all.

I've seen KQ on the shelves of a game store. It's a mainstream deal.

As I understand it the magazine is put out by Wolfgang Bauer; he has cropped up on a few podcasts lately talking about it.
Ah... A quick search reveals the unsurprising web address of koboldquarterly.com which does appear to have contact details, Rainsford, if you wanted to write to them directly.

And just about anywhere where Fight On! has been mentioned KQ is mentioned in the comments. I have noticed this as well. KQ is a decent magazine that aspires to fill the gap left by Dragon, now that it's been turned into an electronic thing. But it also has very high production values and I get the sense that Wolfgang Bauer, who created it, wants to ensure that it remains as profitable as possible, so it can stay in print as well as PDF form. No fault in that, of course, and I applaud his efforts. I just think he (and his surrogates) are sometimes a bit too "aggressive" in their efforts.

FO! and KQ have no connection. (Though there is a small thing vaguely associated with Wolfgang that will be on our back cover at some point.) I think some people connect them because they both cater to certain segments of the same broader market and because they are both not-major-press mags. Sorry people are (apparently) getting spammed though.

I notified Ed Healy, who works for Wolfgang, about the spamming, and pointed him to this thread; hopefully they'll be able to figure out what's up, and stop it

Cool, Gro. Since they may be checking in here I want to emphasize that I have nothing but respect for what Wolfgang's been up to with KQ and I don't have any reason to think anyone formally associated with the magazine is doing this - if it's anything more than a coincidence generated by overzealous fans of both mags in the first place, that is.
