I've been looking at Scarlet Heroes to use for running games with one or two players and do adventures originally designed for entire parties.
Anyone tried this and have feedback on how it did or didn't work out? =

I've both played and ran it, and also used the rules on top of Swords & Wizardry. It works really well with one or two PCs and adventures meant for larger groups. The adventures can stay pretty much unmodified. If you don't want to play Scarlet Heroes itself, the quickstart is free and the black streams solo heroes addon supplement (originally written with Labyrinth Lord in mind) is also free. The basic rules in either will work alongside other games.

I have used both the free Black Streams Heroes with S&W and it's evolved system of Exemplars and Eidolons with one or two characters and it works well. Both products are free on Drivethru/OBS.

What about straight up Solo play? Does it work well enough to be fun as opposed to work?
