All, I got the first (very basic) fightonmagazine.com Web site up. Thank you Calithena for getting the quote from Ignatius for it. www.fightonmagazine.com (May take a full day to get the references to all name servers... but it should come up in most places already.) Calithena, I hope you can read this and give me feedback! Yes, some things are missing such as: - An advertising link (a link companies can go to to find out how to advertise in the magazine) - Donation link (in case anyone wanted to help offset the hosting cost) - Maybe a TOC page for each item (including art credits) - A place with banners for others to put on their sites, linking back to this one - A contact page or link (I wasn't sure how Calithena wanted to handle that, so I left it off.) All, while I will only be making changes to the site based on Calithena's say so, please PM me with any additional ideas for the site! We have some wonderfully creative people here, let me know what you think I can do improve the Web site. Best regards, Rainsford

You should add a link to this forum too.

I concur, it looks great. I encourage you to keep the clean look you have started with and not put too many graphics on any one page so it will load quickly for everyone. Although there should be some good old school art on each page and links to each artist that has a website.
A TOC (you mentioned) for each issue and copies of reviews would be a good thing.
Links to this site (as was mentioned) and to other old school sites would be great. Info on how to submit articles and art.
A dedication page would be cool that mentions who each issue is dedicated to up through at least the first 3, with a picture of each, and the proposed dedication for any future issues that are solid. Then a link to purchase each issue from this page.
Perhaps a page that lists the copyright permissions that have been given for submitted content.
Oh, BTW have an exalt for a great job done.

Excellent...I'll be sure to include it on the advertising flyer I'm making.
Do you have traffic-monitoring tools? Might be interesting to know where visitors are linking from.

Thank you all for the praise. (And for the karma. For a brief moment I had more karma than posts! Woot!)
When Calithena gets back, and then I get back from my vacation about a week later, we will review all the great feedback and changes/updates to the site will be added.
Thank you everyone.
(Oh, and I just got my issue #2. VERY nice. I must say I am getting giddy at the thought of my article being in issue #3. Keep up the great work Calithena!)
As for traffic monitoring tools, yes there are some. Interesting data pieces will, no doubt, be mentioned at some point... once we have some. :-)
Best regards,
Rainsford

Great work, Rainsford. Preliminary thoughts: make the FO! logo much bigger and change the subtitle to "A Fanzine for the Old-School Renaissance". Also there's a spot 1/3 down where it's busy, insert a space there. More soon, just going through everything now that I'm back.
