About the contest:
Our five judges, you will recall, were James M. Ward, Frank Mentzer, S. John Ross, Richard Scott of Otherworld Miniatures, and Ignatius Umlaut, Publisher and Editor of Fight on!. They were asked to score modules in seven categories, including (in rough order of importance) likely player enjoyment, technical creativity, fantastic vision, player challenge, story potential, likely GM enjoyment, and implementation. Judges however had leeway to impose their own general sense of 'quality' on the scores they gave.
Every module submitted was looked at by 4 of the 5 judges and scored from 1-5 in each category, giving a final score from 12 to 60. These scores were added to determine winners.
All contest winners will be published in some future issue of Fight on!
We enjoyed reading all your submissions, even the ones that didn't make the cut, and hope to bring back a similar contest in 2009.
Thanks for participating, and keep fighting on!

First Honorable Mention The Hobgoblin God's Crown, by "Deuce Traveler" Khas Fara, by Jason Morningstar
Deuce, let us know if we can use your real name.
Gentlemen, congratulations. Both of you have won either a $10 cash payout (in which case, send your paypal or snail mail address to ignatius at iggyumlaut at gmail) or else, thanks to the special generosity of Richard at Otherworld, a small selection of miniatures appropriate to your module. For Jason this would be a few gnolls; for Deuce, perhaps a single ogre, or if you want to wait a while Otherworld's new hobgoblins when they are released.
Thank you both for your sterling contributions!

I'd been waiting and checking the porch every evening for a while, and was getting worried that perhaps someone had made off with the goods, but lo and behold my Otherworld Minis arrived last week as well!
Our 2 year old immediately took a keen interest in the box and its contents, and I think we might have a future role-player on our hands!
The Orc Tribe is outstanding!

I have heard several reports to the effect that Terrex's adventure is loads of fun in play. I believe rogatny and someone else familiar from the old school boards have been through it.
You can check it out in Fight On! #4! Khas Fara and Spawning Grounds were in #3; Ixtandraz and probably one other will be in #5 - we'll keep you posted!
