I found the following brief file on my hard drive:

Type A - Men (+ possible prisoners), Centaurs
Type B - Ghouls, Wights, Hydras, Nixies
Type C - Ogres (+1,000 gp), Gargoyles, Lycanthropes, Minotaurs, Pixies, Gnomes
Type D - Orcs, Hobgoblins, Gnolls, Trolls, Mummies, Cockatrices, Manticoras, Purple Worms. Dryads
Type E - Giants (+5,000 gp), Wraiths, Spectres, Gorgons, Wyverns, Elves, Griffons
Type F - Vampires, Basilisks, Medusae, Chimeras, Balrogs
Type G - Dwarves
Type H - Dragons
Type I - Rocs
None- Skeletons, Zombies, Unicorns, Treants, Pegasi, Hippogriffs, Invisible Stalkers, Elementals, Djinn, Efreet, Ochre Jelly, Black Pudding, Green Slime, Gray Ooze, Yellow Mold, Horses, Mule.

Note:

3 subtypes of TT A!
Men get magic items and possibly prisoners.
Goblins get d6 GP each but no lair treasure.
Orcs found out of lair may have a wagon train of gold.

Dragons I can see getting their own treasure type, but Rocs? That was unexpected.

Sinbad influence perhaps. I believe two of the movies were already out by the time D&D was being developed.
