What a fun interview.
Michael, therein you mentioned that encountering monsters was more fun when the players didn't know what their special powers were. What do you think of a D&D campaign in which every monster is a unique creation of the DM?

Speaking of you speaking, how's the memoir coming?

After listening to this recording, it has become apparent to me that either the audio has been tampered with or the interviewee is an impostor. Pay particular attention to minutes 03:14 to 03:36. Did you hear that? What's the BBC trying to pull here? Who is this guy?! What did they do with the real Michael Mornard?!! Everyone knows that Michael sounds exactly like this guy in real life. If you must ask, this is Joseph Kearns. He played Mr. George Wilson in Dennis the Menace.

What do you think of a D&D campaign in which every monster is a unique creation of the DM? It's the way things should be done. Oh, you can use general identities... I'd expect "Gargoyles," for instance... but they wouldn't be the same as the ones in the book.

Fantastic interview, Gronan. Thank God for the World Service - almost the last bit of the BBC worth listening to (with the honourable exception of Radio 3). D&D forever!!
