Hi, all,
Reading through EPT (the "pink book" reprint), and I'm enthralled with the almost-OD&D-ness of it (reminds me of a retroclone, just from 1975!). And while I'm a fan of the "core box only" approach, I can already see a million little places where I'll be stealing from other systems.
Case in point - I'm relatively inexperienced in the "politics and intrigue" end of the pool, and I'd really like to bring that into focus. As such, I'm going to be using the yearly and monthly "domain events" tables from Oriental Adventures (AD&D 1e) to tell some of the "background story" for our campaign as it lurches along.
Any tips for doing so, or ideas for other choice rule bits to steal? Post'em up!
- DYA

How much will your players be involved in the "politics and intrigue"? This will determine how much detail you will need and therefore possible systems to use. =
