Okay, so it's not quite Metamorphosis Alpha but stories of MCC have been floating around the web for a couple of years now and it's finally hit kickstarter.
I got to watch a game of this at GaryCon a couple of years back and it was a real hoot. I only got to flip though the prototype rulebook for a few minutes, but it looked amazing. Base mechanics like the DCC RPG but mutations and the like as per MA or Gamma World.

I'll surely eventually buy this one, but I would have liked for the DCC crew to publish a proper addendum to the normal rulebook, first.
For sci-fi purposes, if it's at all likely the original DCC, this game will surely deliver.

There is a free 29-page preview of Mutant Crawl Classics, which I had printed at Lulu and is proof positive that the game is headed in the right direction. I'm not sure what you mean by addendum to the rulebook, @rafael. DCC RPG is, on purpose, complete in one book. As of the latest update, MCC will be as well.

cadriel, I have been playing DCC almost exclusively, since its release, and I think the game could be a bit more *advanced*, here and there - not saying it's conceptually wrong, or that the game was no good, of course. But I keep adding character classes from other sources, like, say "Tales from the Fallen Empire". I guess a bit customizing is not a bad thing, but at this point, I've collected so much extra info that I could easily write my own clone. (Widely exaggerating here, but perhaps you know what I mean.)
