Savage Lankhmar

I know that I've seen some advertisements for this in the past, but I found what may be a complete set of the new Savage Lankhmar rpg books at my local store and couldn't pass them up.

I got:
* LNK1: Lankhmar: City of Thieves
* LNK2: Lankhmar: Savage Tales of the Thieves Guild
* LNK3: Lankhnar: Savage Foes of Nehwon
* Lankhmar: Eyes of Gorro Marsh (GM Screen)
* Lankhmar: World of Nehwon (double-sided, erasable, poster map)

All of this is for Savage Worlds, of course, a game which I've not played yet but I've heard good things about. The artwork and layout of the books seems pretty nice. I haven't had time to read all of this stuff yet, but they seem to have captured a decent feel for the material. And I do love my Fafhrd & Grey Mouser fiction!

Anyone played Savage Worlds? Any advice for a novice of the system?

Been spending some time reading about Savage Worlds. They say it's pretty easy to run, and I know that there were a bunch of threads about the game on DF and this seems to reinforce the notion, but I just can't decide if I like the game or not.

The plus is that there are a whole bunch of sourcebooks out there for the game. And I've wanted to make use of my Solomon Kane stuff for a while...
