How long has it been since the radiation cloud?

Hi All,
Has it been said in any of the 1st ed books, articles, etc. how much time has passed since the disaster?
"The Total Person in MetAl" (Dragon 14) mentions ninth generation mutants.
If we call a generation ~30 years that's 270 years.
I'm cool with that but has a tighter time been stated?

I don't it was ever specified. In MAJOR #2 (for 4th Edition) Craig Brain chooses the year 2525 as the year 1st Ed takes place. I'll have to look at the 4th Ed book to see when the "disaster" took place in that version to get the exact amount of time. He simply lists it as "hundreds" of years and says he picked 2525 because of the song.

Edit: 4th ed list time of disaster as 2288. Therefore 237 years later is 1st ed timeline.
