Celebrating 40 Years of Tekumel!

Hi all,

So, 2015 marks the 40th anniversary of EPT!

How do you plan to celebrate, if at all? - Mind you, I am not asking, what will you buy/spend money for/consume, I am asking:

What will you do, as in, at your own gaming table, or as in, what do you want to create?



I for my part never played or DMed Tekumel, in any way or form, but I have always been flirting with the setting; given that I usually run the oldschool table at a local con, I am thinking of doing a Tekumel-themed game - but set somewhere I know the setting better.

Thanks, Rafe -- you just gave me another reason to feel old.

I really hadn't thought much about 4 decades of EPT, as I haven't played it much since the 1970's. I may have to dust off my boxed set and run my players through some old school Tekumel!

Hehehe, what shall I say? - On my birthday, my pals gave me a He-Man costume, of the silly kind. I had once claimed that I could charm ANY woman, no matter how full-out moronic I would look. They put my claim to the test. --- And, I tell you, the worst part the very worst part of that story was not, whatever, any sort of well-understandable laughter. The worst part of the story was them darn youngsters looking at me, asking: "That's a nice costume! What does it mean?"

It is like that. Time gives us experience, but also grey beards.


Back to Tekumel - there's a fairly famous in-house con near my hometown where I do the oldschool table. Guess I need to come up with a good intro adventure.

Are there any, preferably free, solid one-shots or introductory adventures out there for Tekumel?

Perhaps in one of the many boxed sets, etc? - Like, that I even contemplate running T on a convention around here is testament to my own vanity: I have ppeaked into the setting here and there, but never run or played in a campaign.
