Very nice! It's almost like I'm there!
When I'm back on my computer, I'll share some of my own kids' stuff.
Thanks. I like this kind of thread.

Man, I love it! Spider-man poking out in the background and all! That deadly water splash looks scary!

The inclusion of a compass rose is particularly awesome...

Regarding the adventurers at the bottom right, near the gold... One of them, the left-most one, looks less happy than the others... He's not smiling... I wonder, did he spy a trap?

I think those are bad guys. I know the trees at the top are red green and blue palm trees (why not???) and the sea monster splashes out of the monster when you cross the bridge.

The inclusion of a compass rose is particularly awesome... I totally agree - that small detail is just really awesome in this context!

I put up a blog post with a few of my kids D&D art work. If y'all visit, I may feel guilty and start actually posting on my blog!

THose are great! I like your simple addition of quotes from the LBBs. Any idea what all those "0s" are in the one room?

Yeah, they really are! Hey, idrahil, thanks for the remind, too... I saw these at work where I couldn't post to tetramorph's blog, and didn't post over there yet! Fixing that now

THose are great! I like your simple addition of quotes from the LBBs. Any idea what all those "0s" are in the one room? Yes. it was a trap inspired by my son's understanding of the step trap in Raiders of the Lost Ark! (Cool, huh?) The other two pics are their designs for their strongholds. My boy has a wizard tower. The girl has a "scouts" fort. Depicted is the central look-out tower. Bought and paid for! They have been fairly lucky with their treasure finds!

Ok...I thought as much...
Let me tell you what I thought when I first saw the pic, it reminded me of an adventure I did in 6th grade. This adventure featured an almost exact trap like your sons. Mine was diamonds and it was pulled directly from Raiders of the Lost Ark. This is honestly pretty amazing. This is like some weird, bizzaro connection across time and space via a classic movie.
Cheers!

I'm pretty sure any trap I've EVER designed was inspired by Raiders...

I put up a blog post with a few of my kids D&D art work. If y'all visit, I may feel guilty and start actually posting on my blog! Now this just put a smile on my lips! The drawings are great, and adding those quotes was a terrific idea. Thanks for sharing!
