Hiyas fellow travelers!
Has anyone else noticed this about the Bone Men? Either the Bone Men must have one opaque part in their bodies, or else they have to paint it (in dark tones), because, AFAIK, by "RAW", they can't shield their eyes from light, since their eyelids are transparent too*. This condition [usually in humans of Earth] carries problems in at least one instance: when trying to sleep. Otherwise, either the Bone Men are already all mad or, they are different from the other races, having more tolerance/resistance to such maladies (there are several deleterious effects to not being able to sleep properly, as you may already be aware of). & that's just one problem derived from having effectively no way to cover your sight from light, as you probably already know.
r *Or Am I wrong in this?

I doubt it's much of a problem. They probably just put out the torches, pull a cloth or something over their faces, and tremble uncontrollably until they pass out from nervous exhaustion and/or blood loss. You know, just like everybody else on Carcosa.

Maybe their eyelids can somehow block light when they're closed. I wouldn't worry about scientific accuracy when running Carcosa. Just pick an explanation you like and go with it.

Seeing how they where born that way, total darkness my not be an issue to falling asleep. After all, I seen people sleep with one eye open, or eyes fully open (which looks creepy as %$#&). One thing I have been wondering about is if the blood of Bone Man is transparent or not? That would make noticing and treating injuries a little more different, if you cant see the bright red liquid that notes an injury -- beyond the fact that their bodies are already difficult to treat. One thing I do add to Bone Men, is that their skin and hair can become somewhat apparent under the proper lighting. That is, when they have the sun on their back, the light gleams on the edge of their skin akin to fresh spider webs cough in the light. I draw a picture of this for a Mutant Future bestiary which has a mutant similar to a Carcosian Bone Man/Nehwon Ghoul.

My only question is: how do you use this to make a session more fun?

Maybe Bone Men are shunned more than other types of humans because everyone knows they are crazy. And their insanity makes them dangerous. So far I've used the Bone Men as the bad guys in my campaign; maybe I can use this explanation for the characters' antipathy toward them (the characters are Green Men, btw). Note that the Bone Men may not actually be crazy; the other races may just believe them to be so.

I can fall asleep virtually anywhere, I can sleep leaning against a wall. I can sleep anywhere I do not feel threatened or being jostled. I'd suspect folks with transparent skin have no issues with light and sleep, maybe they should suffe a penalty to save against gaze attacks however.

Just wear a hat you can pull over your eyes. Would lasers do more damage since light moves through them more easily? If they have an injury, you can see a broken bone or a rupture, though not sure how you could tell if there was a hemorrhaging. I would think Tattoos would be common among such people. And Make up. Hair Dye. Wigs. Perhaps they could wear vivid colors to compensate for total loss of personal color.

Though one must also wonder if their flesh might act like a lense amplifying the laser damage to the target behind them. OK a bit weird of a concept, but it is Carcosa...

Bone men probably have many organs specific to certain rituals. Eyes for concentrating crystal glows, brain for controlling energy beings

I had a great idea for making bone man miniatures.
Stick a painted 20mm skeleton inside a 25-28mm mold and then fill it with clear resin.
