If you don't hang out in THE COMEBACK INN (Blackmoor discussion board) I'd like to point out that they've created a section devoted to discussion of Adventures in Fantasy by Arneson and Snyder. blackmoor.mystara.net/forums/viewforum.php?f=88Quite a few threads have popped up there in the last few days so if you own a copy of AiF, or just want to find out about the game, you might take a peek.

I may be partial because I am participating in those discussions but it has been pretty interesting so far!

Will check it out. I incorporate AIF materials into my Rules Cyclopedia campaign, namely the magic items, treasure tables, education system, and sometime soon, the dragon generation system, which I love. I also like the difference between faery magic and wizard spells and the portrayal of elves, very unique and un-Tolkien like capricious and unpredictable creatures...

In my B/X games, I use a combat system that I've kinda sorta based on D@D and AiF. I had a thread about it in the D@D forum. Check it out ... odd74.proboards.com/thread/8082/bx-hybrid-gameThe level vs level to-hit and armor save rules have worked out for me. I don't do character generation like that anymore.
