"Warehouse, eh?" - Rahim mutters as he scans the area map. He wants to see if the building has a cargo bay door or smaller access point overviewing the dock, and if there's any way to get on top of the roof - or some other structure. Places like this sometimes have tall towers to mount the floodlights on for nighttime work.
"If they're alreay here, we might not be able to stake out the place, but if they aren't... does anyone have a rifle?"

Mike knows nothing about the meeting place, except where it is. He can share the coordinates with the rest of you, at which point you can all look it up on your PRISMs. It's a loading dock on the back of a warehouse. You have no idea, really, but considering that no one's on the street with you right now, it's a good guess that no one will be around by the warehouse either. Aoki-san knows Mike has friends who are interested in work but he never showed much interest in them. He was always keenly interested in Mike, presumably because of his skill set. .... it's bad part of town, so go armed!

Wurster pats his laser pistol in its shoulder holster and, satisfied its still there says to the others, "Let's go check it out. A quick reconnoiter couldn't hurt, could it?"

Regin grips his right revolver in its holster, not saying a word as he prepares for any sudden combats the group may get into.

"Ha!" - Rahim exclaims when he sees the others make such a show of battle-readiness without actually doing anything.
"You stay here. I'll go and have a closer look. Will call you on the PRISM when you can move in."
OOC: Rahim want's to walk around the area a bit without actually entering it. Then he tries to get on top of the warehouse or some other elevated points. (He has Stealth to stay undetected and Tactics to spot suspicious ambush points.)

Wurster pats his laser pistol in its shoulder holster and, satisfied its still there says to the others, "Let's go check it out. A quick reconnoiter couldn't hurt, could it?" "You stay here. I'll go and have a closer look. Will call you on the PRISM when you can move in." Wurster and Rahim, being the stealthiest of the party, head out to scout the area. They stay on the other side of the street, in the shadows, as they get closer to the meet up spot. Running a quick loop around the area, they see nothing out of the ordinary... no, wait. Both of them freeze at the same time and it's obvious they see the same thing. There's someone standing in the shadows of the alleyway leading to the meet up, trying to keep an eye on the street while not being noticed. Leaving the lookout behind for now, the two men are dismayed to see that the front of the warehouse has a 12' fence with ribbon wire on top surrounding it. Getting past that to climb up on the roof would take time and effort. They can see that there is a three story building next door that would give a good view of the back of the warehouse where the meet will take place. Lacking the skill to break in, anyone wanting to gain the rooftop would have to climb up the outside of the building. There's some duct work that could afford someone the opportunity to climb but it's a risky proposition. Suddenly, you hear what sounds like shouting coming from the alleyway. It's muffled and faint but you're fairly sure it's raised voices. Actions? OC: Stealth checkWurster - no roll required, as he's Level 1 in Stealth. Wurster draws his laser pistol and sneaks to a vantage point from where he can observe the source of the noise. He will keep in mind the position of the "hidden" observer while so doing and attempt to avoid his notice. If there is a spot above eye level he can pick to observe from, he will choose that.
If exposed to danger his first impulse will be to warn his companion, then flee. If confronted by a single attacker or poorly prepared pair of attackers he will attempt to shoot it out with them and then flee. If faced by overwhelming odds he will seek a non-violent resolution to the confrontation.

Staying back at the staging area (and well out of sight!), Rik checks his PRISM for any satellites currently overhead that might give us a real time view of the meeting site. If he can tap into one, that could give us an advantage.

Rik scans the available satellite feeds and finds one that's currently over El Dorado. All of the real-time feeds are encrypted but the encryption on a weather sat is gonna be easier to break than, say, a military one.
No luck. Rik does his best but the decryption program he wrote and stored on his PRISM is no match for planetary defense-level encryption. He bails out before his intrusion is detected and the Navy sends someone to look for him.
Type of satellite encryption 1-2 = Security 6 check, 3-4 = Security 8 check d4 = 4
Security check Rik - Difficulty 8 check, -1 because untrained, plus Int modifier. 2d6+1-1 = (4+3)+1-1 = 7. Fail!

See the attached map for detail. Wurster is in the front of the building. He can attempt to enter the alleyway and climb up the ductwork to get to the roof of the overview bldg. He's far enough away from the lookout at the other end of the alley that he should go unnoticed as long as he's not too noisy. The other option would be to circle around to the back of the warehouse and see if anyone's visible on the loading dock. You didn't see anyone the first time you passed by but maybe there's someone there now. I guess you could walk directly down the alley but A. the fence would still prevent you from getting to the loading dock and B. the lookout would be much more likely to hear/see you.

Wurster heads for the ductwork, being very sneaky. He'll climb up and get a bird's eye view of the source of the noise and then the meeting.

"You go on the roof" - Rahim whispers to Wurster. "I stay here, if I hear your voice - or shooting -, I'll move down the alley and take out that lookout."
He sinks his gun into his pocket, pretending to be a lone passerby but ready to draw weapon at a moment's notice. Moving in the shadows, he slowly walks closer to the lookout's positon, keeping enough distance to feel sure that he's not spotted yet.
"There's something going on." - he whispers into his PRISM as he calls the others. "Be ready to move."

Rik looks at his comrades, takes a deep breath, and prepares to move along with them.
He's unarmed, so he'll stay in the back, ready to render any assistance needed (medical or otherwise).

Regin listens to the PRISM call, nods and replies in a low voice: "We'll get there as soon as possible next time you call. Keep safe, and don't do anything crazy." "I'll take a head start to the warehouse, just to make sure they're alright." He says to the group around him, "You can follow me if you wish." He will move to the outskirts of the warehouse as fast as possible, although he will adopt the guise of a wandering civilian when he is close if there is no visible danger. In the probable case of danger, he will whip out his revolvers, get a few shots in, and then seek cover quickly.

With Regin in the lead, the three who stayed behind begin to make their way toward the meet. While Rahim circles around the block to find some cover on the street across from the warehouse, Wurster will attempt to climb up the ductwork and get a bird's eye view.
Unfortunately, Wurster finds the going too difficult for him to manage and he fails to ascend to the roof of the overlook building. Wisely, he quits while he's ahead and drops quietly back down to the ground, not making enough noise to alert the lookout at the other end of the alley.
Rahim gets a good vantage point behind a trash container and immediately notices the gate to the warehouse's loading dock is open. The floodlights are slowly warming up and Rahim relates to the others what he sees: a small, older man being held by two large burly fellows, while a third man yells at him, shaking his fist in the man's face. Suddenly, he punches the older fellow in the face! Blood flies freely from the older man's nose and he sags in the goons' grasp.
Actions?
OC: Athletics check Wurster - Difficulty 6 check, -1 because untrained, plus Str modifier. 2d6-1 = (2+2)-1 = 3. Fail!
Regin, Mike, and Rik are about 30 seconds away.

If Wurster sees the attack he intervenes before his better sense tells him to stay hidden, "Hey! Why don't you pick on someone your own size?"

If Wurster sees the attack he intervenes before his better sense tells him to stay hidden, "Hey! Why don't you pick on someone your own size?" Wurster is at the far end of the alley and cannot see the loading dock from his vantage point. Rahim can see everything but does nothing. The old man is defiant, and angrily yells at his attacker in what sounds to your uneducated ears like Japanese. His tormenter replies in a low voice that Rahim can barely hear. More punches are thrown, but the old man is now silent. Slowly, the pugilist draws a pistol from his belt and points it at the old man's head. Actions? OOC - This is heavily edited from what I originally posted, as I thought Wurster was on the street and Rahim was in the alley, but I got the two mixed up. Also, on the map I gave you, I measured distance in yards. Let's actually call those meters, ok?

Mike is proceeding toward the meeting location. If he arrives in time to see the pistol being pointed at the old man's head, he'll whip out his own pistol and fire over the pistol holder's head...a warning shot, and to draw his attention. He will then break into a run, at an angle to the bad guy to close distance and leave him open to fire by his friends. Mike hopes the two holding Akoi-san drop him and give him open shots at them, or run once gun fire starts.

From his cover, Rahim takes aim at the pugilist and pulls the trigger as soon as he's distracted by Mike and turns the gun away from the old man - he hopes to put him out of the action without killing him, but he'll take any result he can get.
After that shot, he'll turn his gun on whichever other gunman is closest or the most exposed and will open fire if they display and threat.

Regin will fire after Mike, letting fly two revolver shots at the armed duo before reaching the closest cover he can find. He takes a quick look at the old man fleeing the scene, hears a bullet fly past his head, and looks towards Mike: "I'm gonna presume that's the guy we need? There's always a complication along the way..." He will then reload and fire another two shots if the two thugs are not slain already.

If Wurster sees his friends draw their weapons, he will draw his own and investigate.
If he hears gunfire or see his companions aim/fire he will draw his weapon and attempt to find cover that allows line-of-sight to the target.

Everything seems to happen in a blur.
Mike, Regin, and Rik round the corner and head down the street toward the loading dock. The lookout spots them and moves out of the shadows, brandishing a pistol. Mike and Regin draw their weapons and gunfire soon ensues. The trio of friends are about 100 meters from the alleyway, max range for revolvers.
Mike's shot flies over the head of the lookout as planned, but the gunshot draws everyone's attention. The lookout returns fire on Mike but his aim is off and the bullet ricochets harmlessly off the street a few feet away.
Regin will open up with both his revolvers but he lacks the skill to accurately aim the weapons. Both shots are well above the lookout's head.
The gunfire is the distraction that Rahim was looking for, however, and he draws his weapon and takes a shot at the Pugilist. He is approximately 40 yards away from his target, sub-optimal range for a revolver but not for Rahim's Mag Pistol. A silver cloud of flechettes bursts toward Rahim's target but flies past without doing any damage.
Wurster hears all the hullabaloo and draws his laser pistol but finds himself out in the open at the far end of the alley. He has a clear line of sight to the lookout, who is about 100 meters away, just at the edge of his weapon's normal range. Finding no reason not to engage the enemy, who he can only assume is shooting at his friends, Wurster takes his shot. The beam strikes true, and the lookout jumps and shouts, as if he was burned by a hot poker. He turns to see who's shooting at him and spots Wurster at the far end of his vision.
Regin spots a red light blinking silently atop a small box affixed to one of the buildings along the street and something clicks in his head. He's fairly sure that the city has gunshot detection monitors down here in this district. The El Dorado Constabulary will be here soon... and depending on who owns these warehouses, private security may be here even sooner.
The Pugilist appears to have the same thoughts, or perhaps the number of people shooting at him have given him pause, but he decides to abandon the field. He barks out orders in a language that sounds to you like Japanese. The two thugs lift the old man up bodily and shuffle him over to a blocky, pitch-black sedan. They unceremoniously toss him in the back seat and one jumps in after him while the other scrambles around to the driver's side. The lookout breaks into a run and scoots around the gate toward the car as well. He appears to be favoring his side where Wurster shot him.
Actions?
OC: Initiative Lookout - 3 Mike - 3 Regin - 1+1 Rahim - 1 (delayed) Wurster - 1 (delayed)
Combat Lookout - d20 or better to hit, +7 for Mike's AC, +1 attack bonus, +1 Combat (Projectile), -2 for distance. d20+7 = 10+7 = 17. Miss! Regin attack 1 - d20 or better to hit, +7 for Lookout's AC, +1 attack bonus, +1 DEX, -2 for distance. d20+7 = 11+7 = 18. Miss! Regin attack 2 - d20 or better to hit, +7 for Lookout's AC, +1 attack bonus, +1 DEX, -4 for skill, -2 for distance. d20+3 = 3+3 = 6. Miss! Rahim - d20 or better to hit, +4 for Pugilist's AC, +1 attack bonus, +1 DEX. d20+6 = 9+6 = 15. Miss! Wurster - d20 or better to hit, +7 for Lookout's AC, +1 for energy weapon. d20+8 = 20+8 = 28. Hit! Damage d6=5
Culture (Nirvana) check Regin - Difficulty 8 check. 2d6 = 4+4 = 8. Pass!

Wurster will, best case scenario, seek cover and then kneel for a steady shot.
Next best he will lie flat to give a low profile and fire a second shot.
Should the fellow charge him, he will attempt a shot before his opponent closes with him.
If he manages to take the guy out, he will check on his friends!

I was going to say that Wurster couldn't shoot the lookout in Round 2, as the lookout will have already moved toward the back lot of the warehouse. But the more I think about it, the more I think his turn had already ended and he won't be able to move until Round 2.
The bad news for Wurster is that initiative is only rolled once, which means the lookout will act first in Round 2 and be gone before Wurster can act.
Wurster can run about 60 meters down the alley and get line of sight on the back lot of the warehouse through the chain link fence but it will take two rounds. Wurster will be able to act in the second round after running the final 20 meters.

Rahim shifts his position to get a better angle on the sedan, takes aim, and squeezes off a second shot. If he feels he can do so without endangering the old man, he'll try to hit the driver; otherwise he'll aim for the wheels.

Regin will run to the sedan and with one revolver clenched (and the other placed in its holster) will release a bullet to the wheels also. "Constabulary are gonna be here quickly enough, and I'm also guessing whoever owns these warehouses won't be too happy to see us as-well." Regin will yell this to his group. If any thugs try to attack Regin hand to hand, that opponent will get a nasty surprise in the form of a chain-sword.
