A shield-wall of 5 hob warriors falls upon the 6 trog warriors! (The hobgoblins are ancient enemies of the cave-people.) They hit 4 times with their maces: 2 trogs are reduced to a single hit point each, and 2 are killed! Alas, brave Troglodytae, they died as free men.
The brave dog Ant grabs at an enemy ankle, but the goblin shakes it away like a puppy.
Is that it for Round 1? Did I skip anyone? The plan for Round 2 is to throw burning oil, and everyone else back out of the way, I presume?

Meanwhile, Casamir has been out in the ravine, guarding the party's rear. He counts a total of 11 cave openings in the ravine walls. Casamir senses a dark, unholy aura coming from the most remote of these caves, at the far the eastern tip of the ravine.

If ye all feel ye are able, we could try to lead an assault on the remaining goblins. I cannot tell our fate if we move west, so this choice is over to ye. I, however, would be mindful of our wounded compatriots..." Troke refers to Lupe, A'Poth and the others who are significantly wounded.

Brecon, John, and Bremusa dispatch the three wounded Hobgoblins. John acquires a shield.
Troke and Josh listen to the goblin leader's retreating footsteps from the west hallway.
Delapore takes up a spear and sends Ant in pursuit. He hears the loyal dog run about 40', then yelp in pain and come running back in terror!
The trogs quickly loot the goblin corpses with their grabby little hands. They dutifully sort and count the coins and offer them to their savior, Lupe. The goblin grunts' pockets were jingling with 15sp and 210cp; the elite goblin carried 2sp and 8 ancient electrum pieces; and each of the 6 hobgoblins carried 4 matching gold coins, fresh minted in Kingsport with the beaming face of King Sally, the current matriarch, in the 26th year of her reign.

Brecon will quickly double-check the room to the east to make sure there is nobody hiding there before he suggests the party move on to the west and south.
Brecon jogs east to scout the previously-cleared goblin guard-room. The goblin female corpse is missing from the altar. The secret door to the b'yakhee cell has been shut. There is a further passage to the east, into the darkness, which the party has not yet explored. No goblins in this room, but Brecon hears the distant twitter of alert goblin voices!!
Josh is anxious to lead a shock attack down the northwest corridor, in pursuit of the chieftain! Who's going with him? What's your marching order? (The tunnel can hold two PC's abreast.)
I'll hold the action until the weekend, to give everyone a chance to weigh in.

"Thankin' yoo!" says Lupe with a gracious bow and a cheeky grin. He deftly pockets as many of the gold coins as will go unnoticed, then makes a show of calculating shares. Alas his powers of mathematics are not over great.
"That's, errrr... um... about 2 gold, 1 silver and 20 coppers each!"
