Just a little place for that out of character conversation...

Hi Ronin, I'm interested if you still have room. Just to keep the other side in the loop! 16,16,15,15,14,10 With these (near divine!) numbers, I have in mind a Knight (fighting-Man) perhaps aspiring to paladin-hood. I'll wait to see how Ronin answers my questions in the other thread though...

I'll wait to see how Ronin answers my questions in the other thread though... As I sort through a few of those house rules docs if a character needs to "change" his class there will be no penalty it will be something that is handled as a role playing moment, I hope that makes sense. Ala if a knight is something that the character aspires to then he will be knighted if he/she can be recognized for such activity. A ranger might happen as we spend more time out in the woods and I get a nice backstory about growing up with his/her pa and learning woodcraft from them etc...

Right... Everyone seems to have just about everything done, still waiting for ProfessorP but that's about it. Tomorrow at the earliest or Wednesday if you would all like!

Will be doing post-holiday travel from here to there (or is it there to here?) probably most of the day Wednesday (haven't decided if we're going to try and push through in one day or if we're going to stop half way there to break it up; guess it will depend upon the 5 month old...).
So I'll be able to post tomorrow and should be able to get something posted on Wednesday, but if not then definitely Thursday.
But other than that, I'm ready.

Safe travels, have three kids myself but mine are a tad older... 10, 10 and 7.

Am I allowed to use information given to other characters in order to make decisions?
For example, I did not know the guard was helping Fennick until it was mentioned in reply to miked's character Laric.
Thanks and sorry if the answer is obvious.

For now just use what I am giving you, I'm trying to build the story together in bits and pieces...I hope that makes sense for each of you are getting more or different parts revealed as the chapter moves on.

There won't be much of a chance to finding another weapon your starting equipment is what you bought already and though Laric will be able to find some arrows (20) that will be about it, everything else has been scavenged.
Kib can find some stuff still to reflect what he has gathered but all the rest of you will discover that your purses are gone...

So we should zero out our gold? Please, I am unable to adjust your sheets since you all posted them, and that's fine I will come up with an experience and gold/treasure thread to help keep track.

I hope everyone enjoys the game, please ask if you have any questions for I know that I cannot remember everything and I might lose track of what your character should be perceiving or might know.
I will advance time to morning...hopefully undisturbed...when everyone is ready OR later tonight. Tomorrow during the day I will be AFK for most of the day, but will be back later in the evening.

Since it was not mentioned in your follow-up post, did Fennick find his shield and pack? Or has everything been scavenged?

There was one point in my AD&D campaign where people were missing the loot/not exploring enough and one player wryly observed they were getting richer off the dead PCs than off of what they found! ;D ;D ;D

May I request that we have a ruling on "quorum" so that one person doesn't drive the narrative?
Not that I agree/disagree with following the bandits, but I would like agreement that "majority rules" and that for a band of 6, if 4 agree, then that's the narrative driver for all future actions?
I do admit using this myself in my online games, and most players have seemed to appreciate it. I also use it at key points and make sure that players know when a "vote" is required, and it does prevent waiting for everyone to vote, but avoids issues when one person who posts more expansively, or more rapidly, can drive the narrative/game his/her way.
I also would like to know if I discovered anything in the holes that the bandits/goblins were waiting in?
I'd also like to amend this that perhaps we have a time limit as well... or some sort of expectation on when narratives will move forward.

May I request that we have a ruling on "quorum" so that one person doesn't drive the narrative? Agreed. Sorry if I was driving the narrative. I figured there would be agreement/disagreement between adventurers that would be discussed before definitive decisions were made. Regarding the groups position, where exactly are we? IOW, were we heading North, South, East, West towards River's Edge? Would we be closer to the Crossroads Inn or another small village than to River's Edge?

Hey wanted to introduce myself, Eric here, from Eastern NY, long time gamer, long time pbp guy. Looking forward to meeting new people.
As per the recent discussion, if Nigil does not agree with the group, he will let you know.
Hes busy burning the kobolds and stripping useful items if any.

I forgot to ask in my post in the game thread: was there anything of value or any labels in the trinkets found by Fennick?
