Sorry if this is in the wrong place but...
A few years back on a wargaming site, (I think) I happened along an interview with the creator of a little wargame that was played by Mssrs. Gygax and Arneson.
The game was sort of a stylized wargame depicting a siege/ assault on a castle. The castle had cannon and some of the attackers were Saracen calvary.
The article had the game's rules and a schematic of the castle posted as well- as I remember.
I cannot remember anymore details or the game's inventor's name.
Anyone know what the heck I'm talking about?

Thanks! I've been lurking here for awhile, saw alvordian's question unanswered and thought I might offer up a possible answer.

If you check out some of the various message boards and blogs you can see two photos of the Siege of Bodenburg in action, it looks like someone ran the game at Gary Con II. I'll see if I can find the photos again and provide links. <Edited: added linkages below, I hope linking to other sites is ok> Jeff Rients' blog: (11th picture down) jrients.blogspot.com/Morty's post at DF: (3rd picture down) www.dragonsfoot.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=41778

I played in that game at GaryCon II. I was on the attackers side with Bill Hoyer who played that game at the first GenCon!
It was a fun game and the history and writeup that Paul did was amazing. I wasn't able to finish it unfortunately because I had another game to get to (and it went very long) so I got a replacement and checked back as the game went on.
If you have any questions about it, I could tell you what I know.
